This blog is aimed at giving concise but useful reviews of equipment and trip reports, especially since I have on numerous occasions found myself wishing someone would discuss the equipment I was considering but found limited information online. Some of these reviews may also be in the form of larger trip reports and posthoc analyses of ways to improve on techniques and strategies related to my objectives. My primary activities include alpine climbing, traditional climbing, rope soloing, and at times distance running.  Sometimes gear sounds great but turns out to be utter garbage. I often modify equipment in ways that make it void warranties and do things that go against standard practice for the sake of speed, such as leading on a single twin rope, rope soloing with a modified GriGri, etc. These are examples of what I will discuss at various times on this blog and in no way recommend unless you know what you are doing and understand the risks involved.
